2009 North West Regional Barista Competition at Coffee Fest

The 2009 Northwest Regional Barista Competition is taking place this weekend September 25th-27th in conjunction with Coffee Fest Seattle. This is your chance to learn more about coffee and witness the Pacific Northwest's top barista pour their carefully crafted signature drinks. Our very own Brittany Newhouse will be competing in this year's NWRBC. Brittany has been working closely with roaster Brian Meyers the last few months, adjusting her roast profiles and diligently working on her signature drink and presentation. Matt Chrisope will be competing in Coffee Fest Seattle's main event, the Millrock Free Pour Latte Art Championships. Since competing in last year's NWRBC, Matt has been behind the bar everyday for the last year working on his latte art skills. He placed first at the recent Olympia Latte Art Throwdown (view his amazing pour here) and has been helping organize another Throwdown that will take place at the Carnegie Building during Olympia Arts Walk on Friday October 2nd.
